Of course, if you need to run some other transforms then you need to use 32-bits. This is one of the few times that editing in 16-bit mode will not produce any artifacts. You can do this because everything before and after those edit points (except for possibly a few milliseconds of smoothing) will match up perfectly with the original unedited 16-bit audio. Click to expand.I believe I know what Grant is talking about here however if the audio you want to edit is already 16-bits (like from a CD-R or DAT) and the only thing you're going to do is delete a few clicks then you're safe doing it in 16-bit mode.
